About us

Who we are

Welcome to Nasaru Olosho Conservancy

Nasaru-Olosho Conservancy is in southern Kenya’s Kajiado East Constituency. The wildlife corridor begins in the greater Mara ecosystem and extends to the South-West, the Southern Rift, Amboseli, and Tsavo’s. A significant number of Kenya’s wildlife lives in this ecosystem.

Nasaru means to rescue, to help, and Olosho means community in Maa. It is the name 653 Maasai landowners gave to their conservancy, which aims to protect 168,975 acres (68,382 hectares/684km2) of privately owned agricultural land full of endangered mega-fauna of Africa, such as lion, elephant, and giraffe. This area is the missing piece of Kenya’s Amboseli-Tsavos ecosystem.
