Wildlife Conservation
We are committed to promoting eco-tourism, bird-watching and public awareness on the importance of the natural environment and indigenous flora by providing access to an unspoiled setting of particular wildlife and natural beauty. This is done through establishing a governance and management system that allow humans and wildlife to coexist in an integrated working landscape that is home to 3,439 wild animals of over 17 species and a population of 15,000 people.
Nasaru provides a safe and suitable habitat for a vast array of animals, such as gazelles, zebras, elephants, impalas, African hares, bushbucks, dik-diks, and elands. The conservancy collaborates with the community and other partners to protect wildlife while contributing to the sustainability of the community. This is accomplished through the mobilisation and facilitation of community dialogues, meetings, and training in an effort to raise awareness and interest in wildlife conservation.
